Comparing Mormonism with Christianity

What is the truth?

The truth is that Mormonism is not Christian. It uses the same words as Christianity, but it has redefined them. God is not an exalted man from another world with a goddess wife. The Trinity is not three separate gods. Forgiveness of sins is not by our works and God’s grace, it is by faith in God alone (Rom. 4:1-4; 5:1). Sorry, no offense meant, Mormonism teaches what is contrary to the Bible.

Sincerity does not bridge the gap between God and Man. Only the sacrifice of the real Jesus, not a false Christ (Matt. 24:24), can do that. You must acknowledge that there is only one God in all existence, that you cannot become gods, that there is no goddess mother, that you have sinned, that the only way to be forgiven is through Jesus alone, and not by your faith AND words (Matt. 7:22-23; Luke 18:9-14).

You must acknowledge the one true God and His Son, Jesus. You can only be forgiven of your sins by receiving Christ (John 1:12) and be made right before God by faith (Rom. 5:1). Pray to Christ (John 14:14; 1 Cor. 1:2) and ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins (Matt. 9:1-8). This is important, all cults deny praying TO Jesus. They pray through Him, or 'in His name.' But, Jesus, the true Jesus of the Bible is prayed to (John 14:14; 1 Cor. 1:2 with Psalm 116:4). If you cannot pray TO Jesus, then you don’t have the real Jesus. Without him, all you have is sincerity, works, temples that aren’t of God, and a false hope that you are “worthy” enough to please God. Wrong! Our righteous deeds are filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). We need Jesus’ works (Gal. 4:4; 1 Pet. 2:22), not our own. We need the true Christ, not the Jesus of Mormonism.

Pray to Jesus and ask Him to save you from all your sins.

Repent and believe the real Gospel that God the Father sent the Son to bear our sins on the cross. He died and was raised from the dead. It is only through Jesus that we can be saved from the righteous judgment of the one and only true, holy God – not an exalted man from another planet!

But, if you want to be a real Christian, you must count the cost (Luke 14:28). Jesus requires that you follow him, not a prophet, not a church, not a dogma, not your family, not a temple ceremony….

Follow Jesus.
